I also recommend that the H: drive is created the recommended way (in the Profile tab of the User properties) this allows automatic creation of the share and associated permissions.

I highly recommend setting up and using a DFS namespace for the target of all shares - even if there's only one DFS server in the namespace, it makes the shares more portable in the future. Home Drives & Folder Redirection is the way to go.
